1972 Pontiac Le Mans

The GTO's get "ALL The Love", but Pontiac had a car for every budget. Since a GTO convertible was not offered in 1972, you could order a wolf in sheep's clothing by ordering a 72 Lemans Sport "GT" Convertible, just like this one!

Our 1972 Lemans Sport GT Convertible represents that philosophy to a tee. It has all the GTO looks and options, minus the 'O" in the GTO name.

Did we mention the AC? For all you Florida, California, Arizona, and all other residents in states where summers are HOT, enjoy this Pontiac without suffering in the summer heat! Yes, this is a very well optioned as it was from the factory and even better than the day it rolled off the assembly line.

The underside of the car is amazing. Beautiful blasted frame painted black to perfection along with all the factory frame tags, assembly line markings, and drivetrain detailed to match. The entire underside body pans are painted to match the top of the car and looks as new as the top side of the car. Everything on this car is virtually new underneath. It's had a no expense spared restoration with thousands of hours spent on taking this car off the frame and all the way down to bare metal, making it better than the day it was new upon completion. GM didn't make them this nice when they rolled of the line in Detroit.

This GT was started life in cameo white exterior paint, but the owner took creative liberty during the restoration and it was refinished in gorgeous Cardinal Red over White Ivory (Correct 721 Code) buckets and console interior, with a (Code Correct) white power convertible top. It is also a true Enduro Bumper ordered car as well.

This Pontiac Street Machine has all the muscle car eyeball curb appeal you can ask for with it's white "GT" stripe along the flanks and classic Pontiac Rally II wheels really accentuates the color and sets the car off. The color matched Endura bumper and rear spoiler ensure this car makes no apologies for what it is at the Pontiac car meets and any classic car show. It looks as good as any GTO and even more rare than most!

Born originally with a 350 2bbl, it has been upgraded to a venerable, period correct, 400ci 4 bbl V8, freshly rebuilt to factory specs, topped also with a Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission handling shifting duties.

This car was optioned with power brakes (disk up front), power steering, Rally gauges, hood mounted tachometer, Air Conditioning, sun ray tinted glass, center front console, dual sport mirrors, rear sport wing, and dual horns. The engine compartment is highly detailed and has all the factory tags and markings. When the hood is popped, it looks like a jewel inside.

This Pontiac comes with PHS documentation to verify the numbers and options, plus a binder full of PICS and receipts of the restoration which also includes previous ownership history. This is a car for the serious collector. Well documented and in near mint condition on top and underneath. Runs and drives great and will be a great addition to any garage!
